Captain Michael Bero '80 Honored
We are proud to announce that Holy Family College alumnus Captain Michael Bero ('80) of the Brown County Senior Squadron was chosen as the State Aerospace Education Teacher of the year for the Wisconsin Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. He also won the Regional Aerospace Teacher of the Year award. The awards were presented at the Wing Conference on April 16, 2016. He is now in the running for National Aerospace Teacher of the Year award.
Mike has been teaching since 1980 and has worked in the Green Bay Public Schools since 1987. Mike Joined the Civil Air Patrol in September 2009 as an Aerospace Education Member. He was awarded an Air Force Association grant in December 2009 and purchased 20 small remote controlled helicopters to help teach aerodynamic principles to several groups of science students.
